I'm thinkin about your lady's long hair. Do you have any kind of a guard over the alternater/water pump belt?

No but we have a rule, long hair must be put up or in a hat while on the boat.

I'm not tryin to be a butthead, brother .... but the guy who built my riggin told me about a lady who got her hair in a fan belt one time and it snatched out a 6" piece of her scalp.
Just got your best interests in mind. Honest. I love the boat.

We have talked about building some sort of shield around the water pump pulley, I will look into it this week.

You can probably take a piece of perforated aluminum grill (like they use to protect a radiator) and just bolt a piece off of the back of her seat ... bend it over til it looks right. It won't weigh anything, and we'll both sleep better. :o)
Keep on keepin on, man. Nice boat.

She only rides if it's sunny out, she don't ride many nights anymore.

Just another thought on the hair problem! Have you ever thought about going to a electric water pump? My buddy has one and his motor runs cooler and it frees the motor up just a little more. Just a thought!

I don't trust em either for a ride boat ...... you wouldn't know they weren't working until the engine was already too hot. If a fan belt lets go you can usually hear it.

Hair solution!!! Cut her hair, no more worries and drop a few ounces in the process...

Not an option, BQ ..... if she likes long hair, then she should have it. Airjack is sharp enough to find a way to make it work.
