No, that Evinrude isn't mine. That's a high dollar motor right there.
I never got to be around the boys with those Konigs much. They sure sound pretty don't they? When he goes by on the front straight notice that the driver is right up in the nose of the boat. We called that style hydro a cab-over, and it was set up that way to help keep it from blowing over on a long straightaway. Pretty stuff.
They sure have, Huntnfish. What Evinrude did was to establish the style of an outboard motor though, with a vertical shaft motor driving the prop through bevel gears in the foot, and that hasn't changed.
