Re: GO-435 Pistons in O-435

I got the 7.5:1 pistons from jt540. They are out of o-290d2, part # 69841. Was happy with them. Justin has a lot of parts for the 435s.

Do they have reliefs cut in the tops for valve clearance? Could be pistons from a go435 or vo435

0-435-1 crankshaft bearing bore size?

Can anyone tell me what the bore diameter in my case should be for my crank main bearings? I can't find that spec in the overhaul manual and something is going on... trying to re assemble my motor and I don't think these are the right bearings. Either my case was bored oversize or these are the wron...

Re: I need help finding some cylinder studs for a 0435 Lycom

i changed a few of the short ones on mine out and was able to get them at local ace hardware. the longer one you might want to try Justin ficken (jt540) or gary barber (Outlawaircraftengines)

Re: Tired of pullen the prop , I need Help to ID this starte

If it's an automotive starter call advance auto parts on Dixon and ask for Richard. He's pretty good with identifying starters that are brought in. See if he's workin and take it by there. i took one in and set it on counter an he brought 3 different ones out that would work without going to the com...

Re: o-435-1 pistons and ring questions

i still have ring sets for chrome cylinders and yes you can use them 7.3 compression ratio pistons in them for a nice bump with out any mods. its when you go to the high compression 8.7 pistons you have to mill them down any idea what the 7.3:1 pistons would make In the str8 valve cylinders? never ...

you can use the 20 series bendix mags with these motors. im sure GMAC76 could tell you which would and wouldn't work and could get you set up with a pair.

Re: o-435-1 pistons and ring questions

the go-435 pistons are for angle valve cylinder, will make more than 7.3:1 compression ratio in the straight valve cylinders. wont clear the valves without milling them down either. look for the pistons from o290-d2, part number 69841. they make 7.5:1 in the str8 valve cylinders. put them in mine an...

Re: SLOW turning old Delco starter

Airtech will have what you need. Chances are you could find a match at advance auto parts depending on how good/familiar the person at te counter is with starters. My lycoming uses and erly 80s starter. It's direct drive and the 1.3kw turns it over just fine. Take the old one in there and they can m...
