Re: MTS VT59 Shaft Rocker System with ARP Studs Clearance Issue

This is what happens everyday with everything. If you expect aftermarket performance parts to fit. You will change that idea after a little but of experience.

To be honest if you are
I have mine pitched at the 3 mark and I still have to turn 3600 rpm to cruise over 30 mph
you need to free up your boat unless its 18ft and hauling 6 people them are not good performing numbers.

Re: electric fuel pumps

IF you own a A/C a Facet is a good choice you own a car motor The Carter with a carb an Walbro with EFI. do not run a a1000 Areomotive. I know all the car motor guys like running ProMod fuel pumps for a 2,000HP motor but a A1000 suck I have seen 5 or more fail in under a month. I try like hell to ta...

Re: Gen1 to ls swap

There are 3 ways to do it. The important part is that your input shaft is located on the crank. YOU CAN RUN A CRANK EXTENSION OR BUY THE JW flywheel and adapter. Belt drives break flywheels left and right seen 20 to 30 of them break. You can call most any airboat shop and order the LS Flywheel adapt...

The software will only show a sync code but that doesn't tell you why. Could be a ground a sensor or a connection or a harness pin problem. but I have found several times where there was a problem but the computer didnt show any sync issues.. Over 15 years I have only seen 4 or 5 MSD LS problems,,,,...

I have owned the same MINI14 since I was in elementary school. I love that gun I can drive tacks with her. I prefer it over my Colt match competition HBar anyday. I have a MP too an to be honest its kinda of a abuse gun, Meaning I let my buddies shot it. I will say I'm not impressed with the fit an ...

I like them but hate them for customers. Unless you racing I would never run one. I refuse to put one on a customers motor I have seen 6 plus people tear up a motor because of some weird issue. I STRONGLY SUGGEST DO NOT RUN ONE BUT IF YOU DO,,,,, USE THE POWER WIRE TO YOUR water pump to also run you...

The bad check wasn't even the most dishonest part about it. A few months later a friend of his told me what really happened (HE WAS PRESENT) I was lied to, deceived and ripped off, That was my punishment for trying to help someone.

The worse thing about this is how many crooks are out there. In over 20 years I have only had two customers that it got ugly. One wrote me a bad check which later I found out he wrote a bunch of people bad checks and the other I just realized no matter what I could never make them happy Lord knows I...

I love the 10mm round,,I read it was originally designed for the secret service or another branch of the government but its velocity caused to much thru an thru. We keep a log of all engines and components. We also place serial numbers in several locations. We have had a lot of motors from the Ocala area where someone is buying junk yard motors then installing a copy of our belt drive and coil covers and selling them as WaterThunder motors. I tell everyone i...

I spoke to him and we texted a few times. There is so much that should be done to do it correctly. The compression needs to be lowered, the cam must be changed, and on the S/C motors we run 4 hole wrist pin oilers in the pistons not to mention coated pins. Its just not cost effective to do all of th...

Re: What carb to use on a Chevy 383 stroker

A great combo for you is buy the Holley 700CFM DP PN# 41778C they come with a 50cc pump on the 2nd dairies which you need one but on the primaries. So you then move the 50cc pump to the primaries. Swamping accelerator pumps and change the primary discharge nozzle to a larger .035 or .037 tube style....

Re: 572 bbc reliability

Please keep in mind timing is based on 3 key elements. Cylinder pressure (some say compression but that's incorrect) , fuel quality and load. A super technical person will also say flame front travel speed but that is usually very closely tied to the other 3 unless you have some crazy cylinder head ...

Go with the new JX 3 blade we found 38lbs more thrust in the 3 blade JX than a 4 blade R @WOT not to mention a tad more thrust across the entire board. So with less surface area but creating more thrust means its a more efficient blade profile. So with less surface area you will have more top end pl...

I goes the same or the ...

We have 3 540BBC's with EFI on biiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggg heavy boats with crane booms. And a few 582s BBCs with EFI out there too. It's simple physics the bigger and heavier the boat the more displacement you want. You dont see many dump trucks running around with small blocks in them. I would draw the...

Re: Does NGR prop like pitch or RPM?

With the motor you have I wouldn't go down in ratio. Since you have a bigger heavier boat the prop and torque roll is not as important as it is to us Florida guy's. So keep the torque multiplication but increase tip speed in other words make that prop a 84 or 86 inch and that would be a great combo ...

Re: Does NGR prop like pitch or RPM?

The NGR likes tip speed the tip is the same principal as a Whitcomb Winglet however at lower tip speeds its a drag and is not as efficient. But when tip speeds go up and the air being cast off of the standard tip blade goes up the winglet performs better than a standard tip. If you lay the thrust dy...
