Re: Jagd Terrier (German hunt terrier)

There's dogs that are just as gritty, have just as good noses, and hunt as good that won't break the bank. I'm a catahoula/Florida cur/bulldog man myself but different strokes for ...

Jagd Terrier (German hunt terrier)

I'm considering getting one of these dogs for hunting off the boat. I don't know much about them, so just wanting to talk to a few people that may know something about them, and if they would make a good boat dog.

Re: best 3 blade for 0540 sv

I have tried an NGH and Q. Both were 72". I would definetly go with the Q. If I was starting from scratch....I think I would try three of the 4cyl version NGQ blades.

For your type of riding, I would highly recommend the 6 bld razorX.....If you want a little more mid range and less "whine", get it in a staggered setup!

Re: Pro's & Con's to a Deck Over Hull

This is a perfect example of the type of comment made by people who have never owned a deckover. Something is wrong if you can't feel water sloshing around inside your boat. Doesn't take much to change how the boat feels and handles. A lot of sleds don't even have a bilge. I assume you were directi...

Re: Pro's & Con's to a Deck Over Hull

Pros; stays much cleaner....much easier to walk around...looks cooler!

cons; IF it springs a leak, you might not know till its too late. Id just put in an auto bilge.

I went with Pacemaker. Worked with Daren, and he was great through the whole process. Looking forward to putting some time on the system.

Go ahead and get the longer hub. Sounds like you have plenty of motor for it!

Epoxy paint on rigging

About to repaint some rigging. Had someone tell me epoxy paint will adhere better and offer more rust and corrosion resistance. This is not a show boat, but I don't want it to look like a junker. Just hoping someone with more knowledge could chime in.

Re: Excalibur Noise

Diggin, I too have a SV 540. I've had, and tested quite a few props on it. I have found for me that I like the staggered 6 bld Sabre the best overall. It has a lot of mid range push, and does not stop pushing on top. Here is what I have tried, if you have any questions. 72" 5 blade warp 72"...
