Re: Onboard GPS

Any old GPS will do. They all talk to the same satellites. If you need to stare at a screen to follow breadcumbs back then you are missing out on a lot.

Re: gardner's marsh ridable?

Went on Friday afternoon with couple guys I met who were on a jam up 400 SBC on a renegade hull. We made it all the way through from North Cove to the little sandy cut between Sheep Hammock and the yacht club. The trails are pretty spotty with not much in them until you get to the road crossing. Aft...

Re: gardner's marsh ridable?

I read somewhere just a couple days ago that the inside trails round the lakes had water in them again and the marsh was ridable for the most part.

Electronic Ignition Questions

Its time for me to get my Mag's worked on again. I'm thinking about going electronic instead but have some questions. I saw the old threads about it. Is Pacemaker still the one to use? If not who else is out there? Who does/can do the install? Based on what I've read I'm not sure I want to tackle it...

Re: gardner's marsh ridable?

Dry. Overall that is. Might be some puddles but you'd better have a good boat and be willing to work it.

Re: Riding this Morning!

Had a fun time Jeff. Thanks for meeting us. We sure had a fun time even though it was a quick turnaround.

Scarecrow, No water at the entrances. I didn't go but a couple hundred yards in either way just to see and it was dry.

Re: PE 225 Square Oil Sump

I ended up getting it welded here in town. The guy did a bang up job for $20. Thanks for the suggestions.

In case any one else is looking for any of these sumps and sees this, Lacey Everett has a couple.

Re: Lake George Ramps

So I went on the FWC Boat ramp mapper and I see Volusia Bar road but there's no ramp listed. Is it just all the way at the end of the road?

The one at Blue Lake Rd was the one I used.

Re: Lake George Ramps

We must be talking a different ramp. The one I used was off of a little dirt road and I bet 12 trucks would fill it up. It was free though. Or maybe the guy had a day off,, LOL. It was on the south end down by the pilings or whatever that is out in the lake.

Lake George Ramps

Mom and I took Ken (OlfArt) for his last ride on Tuesday. I really enjoyed riding there. She was absolutely in love with the place. For those of you who ride there regularly, what are the best ramps in your opinion? From the north end on down, I don't care. I'd be coming from the north. I'm cool wit...

Re: OlfArt- Ken Johnson

If any of you are off tomorrow (Tuesday the 30'th of May), we will be spreading Ken's ashes in Lake George. I'll be at the little unimproved ramp on the south end of the lake (sorry, I don't know what the regular's call it, It's not my usual area to ride) around 1000. Plan on heading north towards t...

PE 225 Square Oil Sump

Anyone know who might have one. Mine has got a serious crack right at the drain plug.

Bottom of the boat was plum full of oil this morning.

Re: is it ok to use aviation spark plugs O-540

You've got a bigger issue than simply using the wrong plug. I don't have a suggestion off the top of my head, but there's nothing wrong at all with D-16's. Way too many guys using them without having your problem. I've used D16's, Autololite's, and NGK's and never had an issue. It usually comes down...

You don't need aircraft plugs. Don't waste your money on that.

What plugs do you currently have?

Those J series are so new, I'm not sure what kind of response you'll get.

If you do make the switch, please give everyone on here a report. Lots of folks asking about these props lately.
