Re: Rudder Coated with Bed Liner

Have you thought about putting a little colored dye in some fiberglass and spraying or rolling it on the rudders. It would be slick after you sanded and buffed it. Or , what about polyurethane in something that would make them look like wood and be harder than a rock and slicker than snot.LOL Just s...

Re: One star--two star--three star

I came on this site because it was free and I had hoped that down the rode I would get to know and meet people. Free sites are normally kept up by someone willing to give their time and knowledge (FREE) but I have never understood their reasoning to the exact point as to why they do it other than th...

Re: Boat insurance.

Geico put the screws to a buddy of mine in Tennessee . He was setting at a stoplight on his motorcycle(insured thru Geico) and a lady hit him in the rear on another motorcycle(ALSO,Insured thru Geico). I forget the details but, Geico put the screws to him on the payoff or damages to his bike due to ...

Re: is it ok to use aviation spark plugs O-540

I keep a plug cleaner from harbor freight handy and I use aircraft plugs and pull them and clean them. If you don't use a lean mixture control on aircraft engines they will eventually foul plugs for idling with the mixture tied open puts a lot of fuel in the cylinders that they dont need. I'm going ...

Re: Boat would not start in the cold.

I'm just guessing but your carb is on the bottom like mine. Car carb pumps gas out and it sqirts and drops down into the intake and runs toward the cylinders so the fumes are holding down below the carb and the butterfly is closed enough that there isn't much air to dilute the fumes and what gas wen...

Re: Diesel Contaminated Aviation Fuel

Don't be afraid to threaten them with an attorney if they don't want to cooperate for as I said before diesel will lube more than damage under most circumstances but again, you never are for sure. I don't know how long you ran it but if it was ran awhile or was started with the diesel in it that is ...

When the distributor delivered gas in my diesels they settled for a substantial am...

Re: Diesel Contaminated Aviation Fuel

Diesel fuel shouldn't have hurt your engine. Diesel is very lubricating and with the mixture of 100ll should have smoked some while running but should not hurt anything. Your engine got a good lubrication and once the diesel is all out of the tank then it should go back to burning clean again and yo...

I also wanted to say that the people that were out in their boats all day to pass out cards were super nice and surely very dedicated to have done so. I tried not to spray any of them as I left them and hope I didn't.

HAVE I MISSED SOMETHING?

I might have missed the topic but after the poker run was over at A.A.O.F I've not seen anything on here about how it went over all. I went, but had to ask another airboater to lead me around by the nose so I could get my cards for my navigator, bless her sole, kept me lost till he showed up and was...

Re: Boat would not start in the cold.

Aircraft primer kit is small lines from the primer assy that go directly to each cylinder so that when you unlock the hand pump and pump it the gas goes directly into the cylinder. But I agree with GMAC, if that carb is right it should start. I had a similar problem that your having and Greg showed ...

Re: Boat would not start in the cold.

I'm like GMAC, I bet something isn't right with the carb but as a last resort have you considered putting a primer kit on it. I'm guessing we are talking about an aircraft engine for I seen something here 0320. You put a primer kit on it and it will still in O weather with the carb off it. I had an ...

You guys might want to explain to him what you mean by shallow water for most think shallow water to be 5 to ten feet deep. I ran in the everglades this weekend and I thought I had been running in shallow water till I seen what most of you guys run in. My toilet holds more water than you guys run in...
