Re: Ban Bear Hunts for 10 years!!

If there is a sustainable population it should be available for harvest. Is something wrong, that the consumptive users cannot manage your states resources? It is called Libtards. Libtard, non-consumptive, wildlife viewing all should take a back seat to the management of wild resources for the maxi...

Super slide website says up to 100' long and up to 16' width. I would prefer to not have to lap 4x8' sheets.

Well, that's a obvious option. Shouldnt need to lie about the intended application of a piece of plastic FCOL.

Welded UMHW Sheets

I contacted Horn Plastics today to price a 12x7x3/8 piece of their Blue Iron. Jason, the rep. Whom I spoke with, informed me as of today they will no longer sell welded sheets that are intended for installation on airboats. Are their any other manufacturers selling welded sheets?

Re: flotation pod on airboat ?

Duckyager, do you have a stern view pic of that pod on boat that isn't all fowled up? What is it 12 or 18" and does the bottom sheet of your boat run continuous to the end of it?
Also like the SS O/U in the pic.

Is the woodie on the far boat just for mock up? Nice looking rigging and set ups on the three pictured.

Yes, we do our deer this way for packing them out. It doesn't take very long to get the meat off, packed up, and be on your way out. I most always leave the head and antlers, unless the boat is close.

Re: Belt Drive Replacement - Gearbox

Cold weather operation. I use my boat year round......

Going between warm weather box fluid to winter fluid isn't so dandy when you consider my boat often doesn't come home from the field for 2-3 years. I go to it. A grease gun and wrenches are all I need with the belt box.

That's what I see at a minimum going trapping or winter air boating. Glad you made it out alive!

Re: New Airboat T.V. Series - Feedback Requested

Y'all like Alaska reality shows. I would like to see some Down South culture. Swamp Logging and gator fishing is getting boring on the tube. Send the crews, buy some boats. Put Sarah Palin on board, we don't want her anymore.... Heck if they can pay for gold mines up here they sure should show what ...

Re: Shorty Headers melting engine mounts?!

Upward thinking on mounting those headers. Do you have room to bring the pipes forward then down and out the back or are you thinking of running them high? Seems like supporting the pipes up high may be a challenge?

I haul a 12' duck boat strapped to my windshield frame and lashed to my upper steering station. The airboat is a Leaonard hull. It travels just fine through mild alder choked streams.

Check out the Mokai, macho jet powered kayaks..... Now that I got that out of the way, I couldn't recommend a better river boat than a airboat. :angel4: I kinda Liked what I saw over at American Airboat Inc. and they offered to teach me everything I need to know, so I'm looking at $40, to $60,000.0...

Are you meaning in the field, a lot different than on the water. I don't really like climbing into the cage if the boat is floating in more than a couple feet of water. That said, I have changed out a shredded belt in the field. Ratchet straps through the cage to lift the back of the motor and It w...

We use them for transport and storage of diesel, regular gasoline, and AV gas. The only problem I have with them is the white gaskets under the bung caps swell with contact to gasoline.

Preparedness items also need to go with a train of thought. Sooner or later sh** will go south. I have to agree with a previous post that you should have a wingman where other boaters are infrequent, or nonexistent.
