Thanks for sharing Tim. Not sure why, but I sure do enjoy seeing somebody stuck... as long as it isn't me!

Re: And just like that...

Ya, I ran a 19' skiff with 4 1/2 people from 50 - Possum yesterday and didn't even hit bottom cutting through the little trail from Paw Paw to 7 Palms.

It's officially summer!

Re: Tips on brazing cage wire

Nice trick Gary.

Cowboy, you did a great job explaining exactly how to move the heat (which was the original question).

Still doesn't answer why braze instead of mig?

Re: Is there a formula for running dry?

You are exactly right Whitebear. I was riding backseat with a buddy that always seems to get stuck. As we approached a sticky spot the other day I felt him give it some gas and thought "he is finally getting it!" Knowing how YOUR boat performs is key. My thin Bear style hull runs dry great...

Re: And just like that...

There was water in the ditch by Midway and it was wet on the jump over to Cane on Wednesday and it is still coming up. Looks like 3' up in a week and rising.

Rain forecast all next week. If it keeps up, Center Dike will be wet by next week!

Re: Goodbye My Beautiful Baby

I miss my baby.... As I look back, I think about how important maintaining my "career" seemed when she was still here. Now I realize that means nothing! What I wouldn't give to have had just one more moment with her. Spend all the time you can with those you love, at some point, you will r...

FWC Alligator Survey

I received a link today for a survey regarding alligator management in Florida. I assume many of you did also. We gripe and complain on here about how the system works. Now is our chance to be heard. Please, take the time to complete the survey. I'm sure the tree huggers will. BTW: if you applied th...

Re: Thursday Night Thunder!!!

Still no water so i snuck in after a little rain storm Sent from my SM-G935P using Southern Airboat mobile app powered by Tapatalk You got the HP, so no worries, but be careful... last year in April it was bone dry and I had dogged it into Old Mans Camp for the weekend. It rained for a bit and wet ...

Just a couple hours later and it's a foot higher than 2 days ago. I just can't believe it isn't rising at Harney and Poinsett.

After posting the actual stream level, I am genuinely afraid of Kwan's comments when he sees that my estimated 7"+ is really closer to 5"

Kind of amazing the difference here vs anywhere else. Rick is north and the rest of y'all are south. I guess it's just here?

And just like that...

After being bone dry for months, the river came up 7"+ last night and it's still rising and raining. If this keeps up, there will be kicker boats at Possum Bluff by Sunday!

Put in me and the wife all over... unsuccessful. The only person I know who got permits has never Gator hunted before. Am I the only one who thinks preference points would be a good idea? Then when Glades doesn't get permits for the 4th year in a row next year, at least he will know his turn is comi...

Re: 6 blade warp drive on a 0320 150 hp

Have fun in the shallow winding creek. When it floods and starts flowing hard, PARK THAT AIRBOAT and use your kicker boat. Even a seasoned airboater can quickly find themselves in trouble in those conditions. It is no place for any airboat, especially a novice in a little one. When it dries up, thro...

No one has ever said "Man, I wish I didn't put these new stringers in this thing"

Quite a few have wished they did the first time and didn't waste all their time and money on band aids.

Unter, I love it. Everything on that gage panel looks beat up and patched together... except the cup holder and the tumbler.

A man must have priorities!

Interesting how an iced cold delicious beverage can (create) solve a lot of other problems!
