one more prop question

is the torque specs on the old style flat head counter sunk allen head 1/2" hub bolts the same as the newer style hex head 1/2" hub bolts on a sensenich prop

i torqued mine the same BUT, two years later while removing the prop i striped the allen bolt. did all the who dean e tricks, but wound up drilling out the countersunk head. was a scary thing. for the final part used die grinder with a 1/2 inch stone. worked. head popped off and then i slipped the hub right off. the bolt then unscrewed by my fingers, so the hold up was in the countersink part. don'y know if this helps or hurts, but might not hurt to put a drop of oil or never seize on them.

Something to consider if you get in that pickle again is a left hand specialty drill bit in a reversible drill.

Here's a couple of links you may want to check out. From what I can find, torque spec's are based on diameter, type of material, and thread (course/fine) type rather than the tool used to tighten them.
