Why

When I am on the home page there are topics I try to open to read and it says I am not authorized to view this page this never happened with the old site . I made sure I was logged in . What am I doing wrong

Not sure I have the exact answer rjfjr, but I did have had that happen to me recently too. However, I keep trying to duplicate the problem again and can't seem screw it up on purpose.

I'm sure it's cookies & sessions and internet crap like that causing that problem. The fix for me was to go back to the forum and verify that I was logged in there, then come back to the front page. When I did that everything was back to normal for me.

If you're comfortable with clearing your browser's cookies, that may fix it. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for that being an ongoing problem.

Finally figured it out...

There were some usergroups created several years back to give SA members the option to opt in or out of the off topic forums like "On the Hill" for example. Your account was listed in those usergroups and was limiting your ability to get to several of those forums.

Those usergroups are pretty much obsolete these days so I've removed them.

You should be able to see & access everything now. If not, let me know.
