You're not going to believe this, but the person with the user name pacemaker1 can give you all the info you need.

His info and Darren's contact info are at the top of the thread. Try a PM, text or phone call. They can give you pricing and all the info you need.

I had a pacemaker system put on my o-720 last year and it may have been the best money I have ever spent on my boat. I will never have mags on my boat again. Can't comment on gas consumption because it didn't matter when I pull up to the pump, just empty your wallet. I do know it got better but I can't tell you how much specifically. Darren was a great guy to deal with. I recommend the system to everyone I come by.

I heard from someone the other day that they are now building injection systems, is this true?

Mojoe I guess I do an all around average for my trips as krahammer suggested. (running skinny, dry and in-between) Probably way less deep stuff.
Stick tank, measure to 1/8th inch, divide by hours run (to nearest 10th) - 40 gallon tank ~ 2.5 gal/in

Logs show following: AV540, MA-6AA Carb, 13.5 cottonmouth, hunt style rigging.
72" 2 blade Sig: 6.5-7.5 gph (as purchased)
72" 2 blade Sig: 5.5-6.5 gph (new plugs, wires, adjust carb)
72" 3 blade Sig: 4.5-5.5 gph (carb & mags rebuilt + added third blade) efficiency increase??

Each above series included 10-15 trips to calculate averages.
My math is like my brain - fuzzy!! :toothy7: :salute:

Tach hours are different than GPS moving hours, so our numbers are going to differ some... but not that much. You have a SUPER EFFICIENT boat.

I would love to see the improvement you get from a Pacemaker.

I know you're gas pedal would FEEL better, and if your mileage gets much better, you're tank will fill itself when you ride!!

I just had this ignition installed on my 0540. Can anyone recommend a tachometer that works well with this system. I tried to use a Faria marine tachometer that was from 0 to 4000 RPM but it doesn't work.

I run a mechanical tach on my Lycoming, couldn't see why any mechanical wouldn't work.

I was running a mechanical tach but I added an oil filter adapter that interferes with where the cable goes into the engine. So now I need the electronic tach.

I used the Mechanical to Digital sending unit Faria Sending Part Number 90901. They run about $60 but it will work with your Faria Gauge. It screws on directly where your mechanical tach cable would One wire to ground one to the tach your done

Pacemaker does not currently have a web site yet. It is coming soon. If you have any questions on how it works, installation or price you can call Daren @ (407) 709-9578. Otherwise you can post here and I will be checking back regularly to answer any questions anyone may have.

How would you install on a Cont. 520, that is not using an aircraft flywheel? I use the aircraft started mounted on the front of the case.
