Postby dick2256 » Thu Nov 07, 2013 9:29 am

has anyone tried one of these for a mini airboat?
20hp
6500RPM
2.25:1 ratio
any idea what size mini would work with that?

They're great little engines. The two I have are rated at 22 hp., and with a different pipe and carb they'll make almost 28.
They weigh about half what a Briggs or Kohler of the same power weighs, and they start and run great. On a real light hull
one would be a great choice for a mini. With the 2.5:1 re-drive I've seen one turn a 62X24 prop.

If anyone wants one of these amazing little 250cc. two stroke engines, I have two that I'll sell at a real fair price. One has approx. 40 min. break-in run time .... it's on an engine stand fitted with a perfect prop, hub, and crush plate. The other is new, in the box and never started. Also included is a brand new 2.5:1 belt reduction drive and a factory repair manual. No tire kickers please, but if you're interested send me a PM. I wanted to build a mini or two with them, which they'd be perfect for, but I'm beginning to think my days of building much of anything are getting shorter. :)
