Ya it's fine. I have a buddy that runs those motors and he said they are bad a**! Just curious if there was a gear box for one. Wraspy engine for sure.

Is this a new Ecoboost 2.3? The older ones are very potent too if built properly. The new 2016 Focus 2.3 ecoboost comes from Ford with just shy of 350hp. 90% of Max torque at 2000 RPM, so 300 ft lbs at 2000 RPM. Impressive no matter how you look at it.

That is Bone stock.

Older 2.3's make good power too, but will have the power come in at much higher RPM vs the ecoboost version.

Yes, will make a very nice engine for airboat use.

Just make an adapter plate and bolt gear box of choice.

Good luck on your build.

A buddy of mine has that motor on a dune buggy. And it flies, has superb hope power and is fuel efficient. Thank you for the info!
