Well lets keep some perspective. 100, 000 miles is 3000 hours I believe. Doesn't seem so bad? Not like you have to rev these engines to the moon either. Mine works great sub 5000 RPM.

Skepticism is good, but try and give the engine a fair shake.

This always seems to be such a one way conversation. Put the bias aside for a bit, other people are taking the risk on the durability of the ecotec engines, not yourselves. If they work out, would that be a bad thing?

Still made in the USA after all.

Terry,

Just a word of advice. Make sure you put a rearview mirror on your boat before you race Ron. You will need it. :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot:

JR, I will take a rain check.
The ECOtec needs new bearings, and the compression is low...
We had the deckboat out for 6 hours today, and I'm sunburnt.
I plan to fly tomorrow, weather permitting.
Thanks for the invite!

dak10, one of the many nice features of your turbo ECOtec,
is the ability to adjust the horsepower with the stroke of a key.
I wonder just how much you have in reserve. :thumbleft:

You know, one thing I will say is it's quite obvious,
that each one of you guys are extremely proud
of the boats you have built, and worked so hard for.
I enjoy the competition. :salute:

With all the racing talk and now the rude smack talk, i finally moved this into High
Performance thread. MUCH more appropriate here. I decided not to edit anything and nothing has been removed. If it gets out of hand, someone PM me and I'll come help out.

Had an great ride on sunday rode with c1gator and 3 of his friends. We ran all day with these guys had v8s a 6cly ac engine
I went every where they went, over dry over hills over dikes,
The best parts for me was I only used 6 gals of fuel to there will say 25 gals and one of them even added 5 gals
I did let c1gator ride the ecotech he seem to like the ride
I do think these little engines are going to be a big hit
All in all was a great day lets do it again c1gator :D :thumbleft:

Well I did get to ride on the eco boat.....It is a fun boat and set up very clean, one of the cleanest I have seen.... The boat runs great and does about anything you can ask of it......The whole boat was thought out very well, it sits plenty high in the water and jumps on plane with no problem.....I personally would not have an issue fishing in this boat in the gulf...This boat is set up with a 2-1 and a 3 blade Cypress I believe.....I cant even imagine what this little boat would do on the hill with more gear and maybe some falcons....Ron, thanks for letting me drive it, you did a great job with it...Oh and tell your wife I am hunting me a cane pole to mount my flag on....ps, we really dont wont to talk about fuel burn anymore, it hurts...lol

Ron, the 520 I was running burned less than 10 gal. on the ride. I did leave before ya'll.

For 84ci that is a cool little boat. and C1 you'd better get that flag a little higher.
