And I would still call it naturally aspirated - no nitrous - no turbo - runs on pump gas.

I don't even wanna answer any more of your questions anymore cuz all I get is crap back. Not worth it.Like I said - come see for yourselves !!!

I am becoming more and more speechless with this thread. Wowww, I have heard it all. Naturally aspirated with a 1471 on top. Really?

I find it funny when a person who builds a motor can't say what rpm it makes the 3000 HP at and what size prop their turning

Naturally Aspirated = A naturally aspirated engine is an internal combustion engine in which air take depends solely on atmospheric pressure.
Forced Induction = is the process of delivering compressed air to the intake of an internal combustion engine.
Types of compressors = turbocharger,supercharger.

Maybe they are diesel mechanics.
Is that a 6V-71 on their airboat?

Old school 2-stroke Detroit diesels have blowers and are considered naturally aspirated unless turbocharged.

As a two-stroke diesel engine is incapable of natural aspiration as defined above, some method of charging the cylinders with scavenging air must be integrated into the engine design. This is usually achieved with a positive displacement blower driven by the crankshaft. The blower does not act as a supercharger in this application, as it is sized to produce a volume of air flow that is in direct proportion to engine's requirement for combustion, at a given power and speed. By the Society of Automotive Engineer's definition, a mechanically scavenged two-stroke diesel engine is considered to be naturally aspirated.
Broke.

You never know! I would love to see it run. I have a hard time thinking that motor would make 3000hp on c118.

Has anyone seen the boat run? Last post was in September... Ended with just pictures.... C'mon, don't leave the world hanging.... Over 3 months and no new news of this Swamp Beast taking the NARA by storm?? Has it shown up at TNT yet? MudFest? Devils Garden? HalfWay Lake?

Him, Her, THEM...... I think both were on here at one time..... Just curious bout this beast, like it GHOSTED on us.. Poof.....GONE....

A boat that big and powerful doesn't need to be covered in a barn somewhere, someone needs to break it out and knock the dust off of it and let everyone witness such awesome power..

Just when I thought I heard it all. It amazes me the things I read on here, If nothing else the entertainment factor is always worth it. You outta know if you post on this site you better have the sheet to back it up. Glad your ok but cant see too many people surviving a crash at that speed and be talking about it. I've seen some pretty harry crashes at half that speed and everyone of them was in BAD shape. Look forward to the video!
