Flex pipe exhaust insert

Looking to find what people are using for flex pipe insert exhaust system . Any info would be helpful . Thank you

I have always put the flex pipe over the muffler or header collector and then used a flex pipe band clamp to keep it attached. Some guys will then run a small stainless screw thru to double lock it.

Thx , they only make 3 " , and i have 2 1/2 "

Alumitec has 2 1/2 stainless flex for $9 a foot fyi check their web site and they ship.

I've never had any problem getting 2 1/2" at NAPA.
Band clamps for both lap and butt joints can be had at Summit.

As Swamphunter eluded to, drilling a hole and using a set screw is cheap easy insurance
that can be easily removed if you need to make a swamp side repair (unlike a tack weld).

I have a 10foot piece if 2 1/2 stainless. PM me if interested. A 2 and a half inch flex pipe clamp will not work. I discovered this the hard way. Napa has the right size Flex coupling. It's a band clamp and works perfectly if you have two and a half inch exhaust header or crossover pipe, you will need to insert a smaller diameter tubing and spot welded in place to hold two and a half inch flex pipe and the two and a half inch exhaust together works very smoothly.
