Why do they get mad for calling it square pond? I have only been to it once two weeks ago and that's what I was told to call it.

i have always been told billygoat ridge heard someone call it square pond in front of some ol timers and they abruptly corrected the person maybe there a little uptight dont bother me just got a little chuckle at the title

Clinton bass loves it when it's referred to as square pond lol. I guess the right name would be " Bar pit" or Billy goat ridge"

Shtt I like the sound of ole "billy goat ridge" better. That's what I will call it from now on...it does kinda look like a square pond though

I believe "bar pit" is a polk county name for it.....
