    Pug, if you put some info in your profile, maybe someone near you could assist. A lot of good guys on this form that will help with knowledge and equipment too. where are you located.

    Pug, it will around 550 to 600lbs for motor, 135lbs or so for belt drive, don't know if your fuel tank, battery, seats, how many seats? material of metal works, fuel tank full or empty? all in I would say 1200 to 1400lbs.

    It will work but I would run a 4X4 across several rafters and then hook the come along/ chain fall to the 4X4 and not to just one rafter. The front of the stand should be light comparatively to the engine/ gearbox so one pick point there would usually be fine. I offer this opinion not knowing...

    I guess I should have stated to make sure you start your wire placement with the rotor on the compression stroke. If you placed the balancer at TDC on the exhaust stroke and started the number 1 plug wire on the rotor location at that point then I think it would still be 180 degrees out. I...

    Have you checked to make sure your not 180 degrees out of time. Even if you didn't remove the distributor and your using the Harmonic balancer to locate TDC you could be on the exhaust stroke and not the compression stroke when it is firing.
