10 foot car motor boat

just wondering if any one out theres got a 10 foot open hull with sbc i want to build a one man boat and i got 10 foot hull just laying around its got about 20inch sides would make a real good hill runner but will she float ?

Years ago we put some 455 Bicks on 10x7' Gores for folks. They did fine as DD boats. Nothing special but they ran ok. Just remember that 2' came off the transom end of the hull so you dont have the floatation that a 12'er does but yeh it will float.

There was a 10 footer running around LK Harney with a small block ford on.But then it died.It seem to do ok,nothing special.10' boat needs 4cyl lycoming or cont on it,then you will have something.

Why don't you use a 4.3 v-6 chevy engine? With all of the upgrades that is being prduced for these engines they have become very popular with the racers. If you are going to run DD a late model chevy v-8 prop adapter will bolt right on and headers should not be a problem. But what ever you decide let us know how she does.

Why don't you just use a 4 cyl. Continental or Lycoming? We all know that works.

Should float with no problem.I had an 11`9 with 22inch sides and a buick 455dd 72x38 paddle,it would go any where
