12 VOLT BOWFISHING LIGHTS

Anyone know of anyone using 12 volt lights on the front deck for bowfishing. I run two Q beams all night frogging and it doesn't seem to effect the battery so I was thinking of building a bolt on deck to get a little higher plus install some type of flood light under the platform that you would shoot off of. I would like to keep it simple and just use 4 bolts on and off and just plug in to my recepticle to turn the lights on. Any ideas on what kind of lights to look at getting???

You can get a 12v 55w light at Wal-mart called a Blazer that oughta work for you... comes 2 in a package with covers for around $20.00. I had a pair on my Go-Devil & they worked great.

This might help too. I came across this site a couple of weeks ago.
Don't know anything about them as far as service or quality is concerned, but these folks seem to have LED replacement
bulbs for nearly everything under the sun. http://www.discountleds.com

With no more amperage than an LED draws, it looks to me like you could put a whole array of lights across the front of a boat.
Just buy some inexpensive housings at Tractor Supply and put LED replacement bulbs in 'em.

They are not anywhere close to a 110 light! I have tried the 12 systems and about the only thing they will work on is somehting like a head light mount that you cna srew into the stabilized hole and then it is like frog hunting, you only see a concentrated area. I have had everything from this to what I have now and that is changing before next spring. If you have a small genny you can build a deck and have all the entire system where it will come off with four turnbuckles and two people.
