I got a 350 puanin 430 hp at 5000 dyno tuned so it’s not made up numbers. I find it don’t take much to stop me in my tracks so I’m thinking a 2.3 will help but im hearing ppl some like the 2:1 and some like the 2.3:1. Just wanna hear from ppl that ran both and see what y’all think 14ff diamond back

My friend has a 16x8 DB with 350 330hp/330tq I believe that is some where around 56-5800ish rpm he swings a 3 blade R with 2.38 belt box. My boat is 16x8 HEAVY DB with 6.0 LS 365ish hp maybe 3 blade K series 2.1:1 belt. Both have been stuck but neither struggle on dry we can go where ever we want white reason. The k series was replaced by the R which is 1” wider.

I talked with Darren at sensenich today he told me the blades i got don’t start pushing good until they at 18 degrees of push and im only at 14 at 5200 i put them at 16 only turns 4800 on the trailer i dint run in the water yet. But i don’t think i have quite enough motor to turn the 3 blade like it needs to be be turned. With a 2:1. Wondering how much more pitch i can put in the prop with. 2.3 gear

I have a big block 516 675hp running a 4 blade and it made a good difference on mine. I think it was $1200 total for the belt and reduction

I was able to add 4 degrees of pitch on mine when i tried the 2.3:1 with my 80" JW a couple weeks ago. You have a little more power than i do and smaller diameter JW so my guess would be 5-7 degrees more than where your at from what i seen with it recently.
