2.68 with ZZ4 engines

What prop are you guys with ZZ4 motors and 2.68 gear boxes swinging?
Also, what rpms are you running at?
What kind of carbs. are on your engines?

I'm running a almost stock 350 with a 2.68 and a 80" super wide sensenich they work well . on a 14 by 7.5 hammant I only turn my motor 4400 wot and the boat goes where i want it. i turn 3500 and run about 40 to 43 mph in deep water and 1700 rpm in skinny water at 30 mph
and at idle we move at 1.5 mph for those who like to fish of gig off the front .
I also run the holley 700 carb

I have seen one turn a 2bl 80in Sen super wide prop on 11/2 5000 rpms with a 268. Pretty sweet setup right there. Pushes hard and not loud at all.

Couldn't make that 700 carb work for me.
Just changed back to the Weber last night.

Robert, I'd love to see Blue Lightning come out with a 2.5. That would be a sweet belt drive.

Nope, just can't leave it alone.
Did you get yours going? Get that beltdrive on?

Olf Art, I like the design of the blue Lightning, but I am a little skeptical of the
90 weight oil in the oil bath. A little thick when it.s 10 below.

Also, I have been wondering, now that they have been out for a while,
Is everyone still happy with them?

I'd use 50W synthetic in one and not worry about it up there where you are.

Haven't heard anything bad at all. The price is scaring a lot of people off I think, but they're beautifully made. Real precision.
