before i even start thinking this through, would that be a ok powerplant or should i just park it under a tree and move on?

i'm thinkin 12' hunting boat with big reduction. lol somebody talk me out of this!!!!!!! :bounce:

whats the specs on the setup? what ratio and prop?
ive got a 14x7 in the works and im looking to piece together on the cheap. ive just got a hull and I was thinking 6.0 but i know i dont need that much motor on a small boat and smaller used props are easier to come by. Any help is appricated.

The boat is a 13’ rivermaster with slick bottom. Heavy sq tubing rigging. 5.3l out of a 2005 Tahoe I got complete with harness and ecm and all accessories for $600. I added a tsp low lift truck cam, btr hardend push rods, ls6 lifter springs, and a tune by black bear performance. Jim’s performance up in Maryland did my wiring harness, which he did a FANTASTIC job I highly recommend. The box is a 2.3 precision with a 82” whispertip ex 2 blade. Boat will absolutely go anywhere no matter the condition or mud loaded down. I cruise at 30mph at 2800rpm and wide open is around 60-65 at 5400rpm. I get excellent fuel range with the efi, I can go multiple weekends on 40 gals. I have a detailed list of every part and part number to make this engine work on an airboat. Just send me a message if you need help

I have about $2500 in the motor and parts to make it work. This includes everything from coolant lines to fuel pumps and regulators, etc
