Myself...I don't have a clue about the reverse thing, but I'm expecting to see Bobby Fleckinger (Diamondback) in a couple of days and I'll ask.

I am just wanting to know about a 2 year old model year new boat and if someone knows this boat or one built like it i am willing to listen, good or bad. Right now I have the OLD 16'er only needs new troller, a 18 CF Duracraft, with just a small amount of work needed, and a 16' airbpat that I have not bought and not sure I want it, b/c of size. but willing to look at a 30K+ airboat if someone can lend a small amount of help. Thanks carpmaster for the info on both sites.

Rick, is it common, in your opinion, for a dealer to have a two year old new boat or is it something special? The dealer, circumstances, or product. I work at Chevy store that sells Medium duty vehicles and at time we have some that we order a special way and when the customer backs out we are hung with them for a pretty good period of time. We Floor plan everything, so after awhile we get tired of paying interest and will take a cut, maybe not even close to cost, just to move inventory and free up the cash. It is a very far drive to get to the other dealers offered.

Could "reverse" be in reference to a counter rotator where one prop turns in 'reverse' (so to speak)?

I know the boat in the photo is not a counter rotator. Does not even look like one would fit in that pancake cage. (I like that cage by the way)

I don't know where you saw something about reverse.

Where did the reverse comment come from?

matt.

the Dealer in a reply email, I was in a blackberry all day and he really did not want to talk by email?

This is the response given when I inguired about this boat.

"the 20 was a highly custom boat with state of the art everything and it is in the high 40's, but you need to see it. It has reverse!"

you like the cage I like the boat! I just want to know more before even thinking about driving 11.5 hours to look at a boat that I am not sure is worth the drive.

its worth the drive man i like the boat it looks cool. and the way they have everything tight on the motor Ex the spark plug wires and gas line. and the support over the motor it looks like it might go backwards but im not sure how man

Ok, I gotta chime in Now, Guys stop in Orange, Tx and look at some of the boats we have under production. Why make that long drive and pass us up. We manufacture all of our boats in Tx and we are right in your backyard. We can custom build a boat just like you want it and save you money compared to buying from a dealer in Tx that has the price marked up due to shipping cost + his cut. Send me an e-mail and I would love to send you a quote.
I can be reached by cell phone, 409-920-0716. Nothing wrong with the boat your looking at, but why buy one a couple years old and pay too much?
Thanks Guys,

Fowbish, You may want to talk to folks about the long belt setup before jumping into it. I've heard some folks say they love having the engine mounted low because it handles well but I've heard others say they don't run dry as well. I've also heard that those long belt units weigh a lot. Personally, I think if I were going to consider a long belt I'd want a counter rotator too.
