220 GPU Prop Adaptor???

i'm putting a PS Signature on my friends boat. he has the prop adaptor on the flywheel. my question is this......should the hub plate mount flat against the adaptor or is there supposed to be a gap of about 1/4"? i've never fooled with a continental so i don't know......any help would be greatly appreciated.....

I run a ps signature on mine and there is no gap, but I did have to use an
impact wrench to get it flush.

The hub needs to fit up against the prop adapter without any gap. If your setup is like mine the studs on the propadapter that your prop bolts screw into are to long. You can ether grind the studs that the bolts screw into down or take the hub to a machine shop and have them make the holes deeper in the aluminum. I would suggest grinding the studs down until the hub fits flush with no gap against the prop adapter.

What we did with mine is we took some washers and put them on the studs. Then took a hacksaw to them. This made sure they were all even. Hope this helps.....Brent
