Hey guys, I recently bout a 13’6” Alumitech with a 383 Stroker on it. Boat runs great and has a ton of power. When I run it real hard I got oil coming out of the driver side valve breather. Anyone got any advice on how to fix this. Other side has a hose connected to the motor. I’m new to air boating and relatively new to motors. Any advice or assistance is greatly appreciated!

A bit more information would help diagnose the issue.
So assuming the right valve cover has an open or screened breather, the left has a hose, where does this hose go?

John, thanks for the quick reply, see the attached photos. Breathers look like they’ve been there for some time. Thinking about putting a new pair on, lmk your thoughts.

Looks like a PCV setup, there would be no vacuum to support this at a wide open throttle run, blow-by would be exiting the open breather, plug the vacuum port at carb, omit both rocker cover set up, go with what Andy suggested on both sides!

Another thing, I bet those valve covers have no baffles in them.
John, I just noticed that line from the breather goes into the motor not the carb. Should I still plug that vacuum port once removed?

X2 baffled valve cover a piece of the solution.
Worn rings or low tension rings could play a role as well.

So I finally got around to trying this out. Ending up being worse off
. Looking like I may have a more serious issue at hand. Thank you for the help. I’ll follow up as I find out more.John, would you mind sending me your phone number? I’d like to see if you could take a look at my engine, or recommend me someone?
