I recently purchased a boat with a "freshly rebuilt" 480 Gear Nose and it is having trouble running without shutting off. I can get it to idle sometimes for 30 seconds max and then it shuts off again. If I start it and give it some throttle it will rev up and then shut off. The motor has a pacemaker and fuel injection system. I replaced the spark plugs and still nothing changed. The water fuel separator looked a little dirty but no water in it. Any ideas what might be causing this? Motor was built by Jernigan. Wanted to go on here and ask before calling Jernigan.
