540 Jug Wrench

What do I use to get 2 jugs off of a o540/310 upstack? It looks like a short allen wrench will work, but they are 2 different sizes.

Go to your local aircraft mechanic and see if he'll order you a set of wrenches I think they run about $150 a set.
 
Be carefull when you use the wrenches, they are all made pretty cheap and will round easy. when they do you can weld in a heat treated bolt head.
 
That's right. I had to fix the 3/8 one and ended up replacing it.
They worked fine for installation but removal was where I screwed it up.
Those base nuts didn't want to come off.
 
Get the two wrenches from Aircraft Tool Supply. I just got two for my O-320 narrow deck and they cost $35.00 each. They are high quality and will strip out the nut before they round off. It only took two days from placing my order until they were on my door step.
 
I have 2 sets from Aircraft Tool Supply that lasted almost as long as the pair from spruce. I was told by jr jurnigan that he could not find any better ones either.
