I have a 6.0 lq4 i think 2003 cast iron block aluminum heads, makes 320 hp 370 ft lb stock. was thinking about going with an edelbrock ls1 intake and msd ignition box. what would be some good suggestions as to get the torque up to 450-500 or so?

The Edelbrock intake and ignition kit is the best way to go. Just make sure it has a 24 tooth wheel and is a pre 2002 or none of the ignitions will work. If you have the complete motor and harness just drop it all in and run fuel injection. Also your LS2 motor has a 4.00 bore and a LS6 has a 3.900 bore however the cam and heads are different, and that's what makes an LS6 so nasty is the heads, come to think of it the cam position sensors are in a different location and you do have a 50-2 wheel. If you do have a 50-2 wheel or what they call a 48 tooth reluctor which is what I think you have nobody truly has a stand alone box for them yet. 4 manufactures will tell you they do but I have been waiting for over 6 months and nobody has delivered one to me yet. So I have developed one with a leading ignition manufacture but their not available yet I only get them because I helped them with the ignition system and I buy ten at a time. I have 5 on the shelf now but their costing me around $500 if you want to go carb I can help you out with the ignition but at this point and time you may consider running fuel injection. I do have spare intakes if you want PM me and I can get you a intake and programable box with an over temp shut down to protect you from over heating for cheaper then you can buy them I even have a few used and new intakes. That's all the info I will give because it took me over a year to solve some of these problems and trust me there were a few to be worked out.
