I HAVE A GUY THATS GOING TO GIVE ME A SMALL ENGINE A SERIERS DOES ANY ONE NO ABOUT WHAT IT COULD BE ??????? THANKS

Continental made an A65 and an A90 long time ago. Sweet engines too. Not sure if the pre-65 engines were A series or not. There were some 45 HP engines back then too.

Wow thats a oldie. Looks a bit like a right side up Ranger. Never seen one of those Cirus Engines though. Our CAP squadron when I was in High School had a Fairchild PT26 with the 200 HP Ranger in it. The old rag bag sure had taught a lot of folks to fly then continued life as a CAP search plane.

Thanks for the image Jim, it could be what he has I guess, was Cirus an A series something or other?

Scotty

It was called an American Cirrus made by American Cirrus Engine, Inc in Marysville, MI.

That little A-65 Conny is the engine that built private aviation. I have a friend with one in a restored Champ ..... what a sweetheart of an engine.
