About the July ride

Dakota

Well-known member
Well I posted on there trying to get some repsonse so I thought I would come here.

I would like to know about how many people are going to be there so we can make sure we have enough food.
Also if you are bringing something please let me know here what you are bringing. As of right now Safari Rick is bringing the shrimp and Gatorchaser is bringing the gator meat. Not too sure about anything else so that is why I need to know so I can plan for something here.

Thank you

I have had a few people ask me for directions. Is anybody plan on putting a sign in the median because it is easy to pass by the Club house turn. I have been telling everyone to turn off I-95 head West on 192 and turn left at the median just before you hit the StJohns River.

I'll be surprised if we dont have 25 to 30 boats show up.When I posted the ride on the calendar I suggested everyone bring food and drink for the day, that we would be making a lunch stop. The gator meat and shrimp are diffenently and added extra. So Dakota do not go to any trouble we will make due. A buddy and I are taking care of the fryer and grease. The Seminole County Crew are leaving Geneva at 8:00.I will be there in plenty of time for us to get everyone registered.See ya Sunday.

Sure wish I was going to be home for this one. Yall have fun. I know ya will. Ride safe.

Scotty

Thanks Skeeter. I plan on being there at 8 myslef just in case we have some people arrive early

As far as a sign, yes I am putting on out there but I am not sure if it will be a new one that says something about the poker run or if it will be the southernairboat sign. It may jist be the southernairboat sign because waterthunder is right. You can pass it so easily.

I will be there and even if we do not leave at 10 we will still be there. Take my cell phone number down and if you think you will be late please let me know and we will wait for you.

If you miss the turnoff you'll cross the river. Just turn around and take the first right after you cross it again.

We should be good I'm going to try to be there by 8:30. Rest of my Seminole crew should be there around 9:30.

It looks like 2 boats with 3 or 4 people from down here.
I will be coming up Saturday (maybe go for a ride later in the afternoon), and another friend will drive up Sunday morning. would you like for me to bring anything ?

Be careful this weekend!!!

Did an Eco-Tour Tuesday night & there is still no water in most of the trails.

You can get to Bird Platt then the water peters out just south of the campsite.

Hole-in-the-Wall will get you to Spade but then again quickly runs dry both north & south.

Things are pretty much dry south of bulldozer.

Also, lots of pinkroot in bloom.

Hit it @ speed & you'll be blowing seeds out your nose for a week.

Lots & lots of flaoting mud tussuts!!!

WMD just got done spraying & they are breaking away from the edges.

BE CAREFUL!!!

WE have already went out this past sunday and rode all of the area we are going to be and there is water on every trail to run and only 1 spot that there is a dry patch and it's a dirt road to cross over and there is nothing to it we will be running in water 99% of the time so no need to stress about it we ran down almost to the stick marsh sunday and only had to run about 500ft of dry ground

BUT WE WILL BE IN THE RIVER ALMOST THE WHOLE TIME

Again thanks for the info Jeff but if you were to look at some of my posts I only mentioned that about 20 different times that it was dry. And we did go out on Sunday and I did mention on a post that we got stuck for a while. But we have mapped it all out and I am not stupid enough to take people down trails that are dry. I think I have done this a time or two and planned I think 3 events so far. So I think I know what I am doing by now. Thanks

Sorry Country, Marvina came out.

No need to be a smart arse Dakota.

I was just trying to pass on some recent info.

I was not implying anything other than for the out of town folks to please be careful.

If you took offense to it all I can say is "get over it & leave your ego @ the door"
