my 16ft airgator really soaks you in rough water. The front seems to ride too low and plow thropugh waves. Could I adjust the motor mounts up in the rear to help lift the front a little? Good idea, bad??? motor is a 454 gear reduction

Yup, you can also move weight around in the boat as well. Move the motor forward and aft and adjust the rigging as necessary. Gas tank and battery plcement are important too. Tuning a ride usually is not a single item, its a ballance of multiple issues.

Good Luck

jack the hook out of the hull , long airgator hull seem to get a cup in the bottom with age had one that did the same thing with a jack in the right place you can make it popoise, when they ride the bow it will kill the ground running ability

no one of the best ever made they lasted so long aint made em since the late 80s still see em the woods, airgator became alumatec

Just put a straight edge across the bottom or place it across the stringers. If it lays flat across all the stringer you have a flat bottom. If the center stringers are high you have a cup and thats not good. Start in the stern and work your way forward. You can also chech you sheet metal to see if its bellied up between the stringers.
