Advantages to running aircraft plugs and wires?

What would be the advantages to running aircraft plugs and wires?

Is it true that aircraft plugs will last forever and only need re-gapping periodicly?

I guess price would be the only downside to running all aircraft, what is everyones thoughts on this topic?

And finally, what is the "actual" cost for the plugs and wires?, thanks, scott

check with mike thruman on the cost of wires and plugs. with aircraft everything is held to a very strict standard so basically you are getting the best of the best but allot of the my self included use cheaper parts , I mean if we break down it just cost us a case of beer to the buddy that came and towed you in plugs for example i use cheap autolites but then again there cheap so I change them every other time I change the oil. the aircraft wire is supposed to be better someone can explain that i am sure
