I subscribed to Air Boat Magazine a few months ago and haven't received an issue or any corrospondence from them yet. I can't find them on the net either. I saw an advertisement while on this site and placed my order. If anyone can help me with an address or phone# I'd be very happy :D
 
are they cashing those checks? I think it's time they got their act together and start getting peoples magazines out in time. It's not that hard.
 
They cashed my check last year......I never did get anything......finally called some girl at the other end of the line who said she'd send something out. She sent me three back issues from 2004-05 and that's the last I've heard from them.

It's fraud in my view. I'm tired of reading posts here defending this outfit.
 
Maybe its time for Southern Airboat to expand its online empire to the hard print world. Its not like Rick has anything else better to do. :lol:
 
I love the magazine and the people. I hope they can get it straightend out. Send them e-mails and keep calling. I will also say something next time I talk to them.
 
I think you ought to look at it like any other business, if you are not getting what you paid for don't have anything more to do with them and chalk up the lost money to lessons learned. For the past several months there has been a topic on this forum at least once a month.
 
I haven't got any thing from them, sound like these people are like the old US airboat mag. All talk and no go. People go to jail for less.
 
I ain't got nothin yet. I have some owed to me from last year . Them I talked to Terri at the GTO swap meet and paded for 1 more year. She told me that she had mine in the mail. I have called and called. I thought everyone got the magazine where they published the pictures of the airboat they hit vendors up for to make donations in return for advertising ??? I think that is the way it went anyways because there was a list of contributors/suppliers for the "Ms liberty" boat project that was published. Cowboy is a contributing writer maybe he has some pull with them to help out on this. I know I couldn't run my business like they ndo or I would be broke. But I probably got this wrong also so keep callin and writing I am sure they like hearing from folks because they sure don't change anything.
 
The mag is obviously not run by someone who knows what they're doing. I've never seen a publication with so many grammatical errors in it. You'd think the editor would be able to catch 50% of those or so.....

I must say that their photo qulaity has increased dramatically over the last year or so.... Too bad about 30% of their photos have nothing to do with airboats. Furthermore, many pictures are of the same boat. If you're paying attention Terri, people don't want to see two or three different size prints of the same view of the same boat in one article. Try to get less shots of people's guts/butts etc, etc

As to the subscription issue (no pun intended), I never thought the mag was worth subscribing to. However, there's ALWAYS a fresh supply of new issues at the location where I occaisionally buy one. It must be on the way to the post office LOL

P.S. Terri, please don't take this as a personal attack. I think it's great you have an airboat mag. I just think you need to shoot for a little higher quality. And FIX the subscription problem, people are getting pissed.

I have not sent them any money but it sure looks like a good gig. I think she could make more money if she produced a product> Maby she could use the help of some of you guys there and you can figure out a colaborative effort! How could an advertiser possibly pay a publication like this? That would be number one from a buisness scence!
 
<<Can agree with everyone's posts other than Red's. Personally, I liked the mag, and loved the picture quality as well as diverse format. For those comparing BIG mags to ones that cater to our small world.....You'll have to live with things not being like the multi-million$ HotRod mags.....I just hope they can get their stuff together. Terri seems to be a great person with equal intentions.......Just need to get on the stick.......

I have spoken with Terri regarding this delivery problems issue.
I told her that this was a huge problem for her, and She said she was gonna send out a whole second mailing that month. She also said that the printer had been responsible for the mail-out, but took that scope back in house.

As Felber stated, it's not hotrod magazine. I told Terri she needed evry subscriber she could get, and she needed them happy.

I really don't know what the problem is for getting everyone their magazine.
Heck, I did'nt get my magazine last month! Gess it is what it is.

They are good people, but when somebody's paid you for something, you'd better make darn sure you put the product in their hand.

Im with Felber. It is a great Magazine for Airboaters. The Magazine has alot of potential and I hope the delivery issue is resolved. For Red Dwarf to make the comments he did shows his intelligence level; but I forgot, this is the guy that builds a motor stand with straight up and down legs with no forward braces and makes comments like "just because the Airboat Mfg's don't do it , does'nt mean it will not work."
 
Nothing to me, dont even know the guy except from his posts on this website, but just read his above post.
