airboat club in louisiana

just got this pm : We'd love to do an article for you in our next issue if you want. on setting up an airboat club in LA. We have a big marketing push into GA and LA and TX this next issue (September/October) so that could help spread the word. Just write something up with contact information.

Also we are going to be spending a week in LA the last week of August meeting with builders for our Meet Your Vendor Feature and would love to also get some ride location info.

Any way you can organize a get together somewhere between Aug 26 and Sep 2? We'll be there and cover the event and that way it would also be in the November/December issue and give us a chance to meet some of the airboaters in that area. If you can help pick a place and time and spread the word, we'll also contact everyone on our builders list to invite them out as well. Kinda short notice to organize anything real fancy other than just a ride. I know this is also gator season so might not work out - but we'd be interested if you are.

Call me anytime at 352-255-4776. We are in Nebraska this weekend shooting the airboat race up hear and then working our way back south through Texas and over I-10 back to Florida so that is why we are in your area that particular week.

Look forward to hearing from you. Beat to call since email is somewhat limited.

http://www.airboatingmagazine.com :my problem is i dont know anything about setting up a club and that i work 24hr call 7 days a week and really cant plan anything due to not knowing if i will be off. if anybody can take the ball and run with this it would be great. if it does happen and i am off , i will definitely be there. here's our chance

You guys set up airboating organizations in Louisiana, Georgia, and Texas, and I'll volunteer to get our friends in Utah, Alaska, Michigan, and Nebraska together and we'll work to establish an NAA. National Airboat Association.

Hows that ?

i sent this to bigfun and I'm hoping he will run with it.i think he is already trying to make a list of interested people in La. we need somebody that knows how to organize it. SOUTHERN AIRBOAT LA. CHAPTOR SOUNDS NICE TO ME

getting the mag to do a article would be a great thing . you should have enough of a group out that way. you may also check with some of the builders out there like Ronnie's see if they would sponsor the group or could help organize it

I already know for sure that we can count on Stan and Faron Floyd at Ranger in Texas to help. They're a class act.

Glad to see the interest for forming a club in LA.. I'm sort of new to Airboating, I'm on my second boat since 2004. I have several friends in the SE part of the state that are long time airboaters and they have contact with many other owners. I am attempting again to get this club off the ground. What I'd like is for any LA airboaters to PM me with contact info such as: name, address, email, and phone # so we can start to compile a list of possible members.

Some reasons for this organization would be to counteract any adverse legislation, provide a working network among airboaters, and of course provide some plain old social events, like group runs.

As soon as I get a PM from anyone who is interested I'll send you back my contact info.
