Any make an airboat cover? I may not have inside storage for my boat for a couple of years, and would like to put it under cover. Especially for the winter months in the midwest.
 
I'm in the same boat, no pun intended. I was wondering if the guys who make sails, could make one. I know they make custom canvas covers. Let me know if you come up with anything.
 
Try your local canvas shop for a cover,Had mine built for 450.00.
Problem is the fabric.uv/water replant has gone up.Oh and putting it on can be fun.

I had a guy here in Palm Beach county give me a quote and I damm near fell off my Rocker. :shock: $1180.00 or a smooth 1000.00 Cash. My Boat is only 11' long how much freakin canvas are we talking about. Someone also told me to try Diamond Back since that's the type of boat I own. I'll make that call as soon as by heart starts beating again. :roll:
 
I think it was Classic airboats that used to offer a fitted cover in their catalog for less than 200. I'll see if I can find the catalog. A fitted cover sure would be nice---I'd think that sure would be easier than a regular tarp. Perhaps that might be a great addition to the Southern Airboat store.

Those of you in clubs should consider buying a walking foot sewing machine. There was a company up in WI selling new ones really cheap (Consew machines). They were selling through E-Bay.

You can make covers and upholstery and save a ton of money. The best material for covers is Top Gun, but it is not cheap. Sunbrella is a popular material but will not last like Top Gun. Check out the cost of the material alone on the net. I have not found anything else that will stand up to the FL sun. I also use UV treated thread, it's called Sunguard. I also use a leather of vinyl liner in any area that might have an abrasion problem.

No, I don't sell covers, I would have to charge too much the way I do them.

American Airboat Corp has a seamstress in house and custom build covers for your entire boat. Prices vary on the size of your boat. It's best if your boat is there for us to take measurements off of but You will have to give them your measurements to get a price. It will be less than $1,000 but more than $450. Prices on material continues to rise. The last one we built was $900 but it was for a 18ft boat 8ft wide. Call 1-800-241-6390 to get a price ask for Stan he is the one that will need to help you.

We are looking for some new materials so we can build some less expensive complete covers.
 
I found that home dopot sell the carport that has the tarp on it and I just added 2.5 ft of pvc to the bottom of the poles and I'm able to back my air boat under it keeps it dry for the most part and out of the sun
 
Northern tool supply has grey rubberized canvas tarps that will last I know for at least 10 years in the florida sun I have one for my boat it is 24x12 and I paid less than 100.00 for it and it works fantastic and I hold it in place with some rubber tiped squeez clamps I got at home depot and I have had no problem with it staying on even in very strong winds the clamps work great and the are easy to take on and off and the Canvas covers my boat from the cage to all the way over the font of my grass rake and I have a 14x7.5 Diamonback.
 
I use a old cover off a 17ft BassTracker. It covers my boat from the grass
rake to the back of the cage. It has straps on it. I got it from my Dad he
sold the bass boat. It sat after he got the airboat. By the way my boat is 12ft Laser
 
Hi, I am looking for the cover but they are really expensive here in Australia. So I alter the coverlet and its fine!
 
When mine was outside I used a pontoon boat cover. Sportsmanguide brand for 20' pontoon fit great with some good bunjie cord. About $100 bucks.

I put 2x6 14' from grass rake to the top of the fan cage n silver 19x29 tarp and it holds up to Ohio winters .
 
I got a friend that took a blue tarp and laid it out on his concrete drive and painted one side with COOL SEAL a product used to coat trailer roofs. After it dried he has used it for years to cover a boat and it is still in good shape.
 
Here's mine. Costs less than building a shed. Canvasback in Jupiter made this one. On in 5 minutes, off in 1.
