Can you guys tell me where you get your Orange Flags? I want to get some made to give out. Thanks for the help.
 
the Broward County airboat show is going to be at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World (boy, do I love that place) on March 19/20. The airboat club will have their booth set up and they have boxes of them for sale. If you pick them up there you can save the cost of shipping.
 
Here in the Everglades Conservation Area the little triangle shaped bike flags are not good enough. Flag has to be at least 8" x 10" and be 10' above the waterline anytime you access the marsh area if you don't want the $50 fine that goes with not having one.
 
I've been running those bike flags for quite a while and no one said that it was to small yet. just about every one that i know runs those bike flags because you can go to walmart any time and buy them. but I'll start looking for the bigger flags and try to keep a couple around.Don't need to get a ticket.
 
Most of the Wildlife Managment Areas require orange flags of the dimensions quoted above to be flown 10' above the bottom of the hull.
I'll probably get a ticket for flying the wrong colors.

I'd be proud to run an orange Southern Airboat Logo flag one sometime in the future.
 
cowboy - I'm trying to get some t-shirts made right now, maybe we can get some flags made next.
 
10' high is correct but the size has to be at least 10" x 12" that is off of the NPS big cypress web site does anybody know where to get one that size.I just got a new trailer to run down there I spent the first half of my live out there and last year I did the ORV trails a few times now I just need a flag and the water to come up as the airboat area is closed
 
the only flag i have on my boat is an 4'x5' confed. and i havent got stoped for anything other than my runing lights
 
I know that airboats inc has those 10 by 12 orange flags i"ll find out how much they run this weekend I kneed to buy a one any way.

Are there any Wildlife Management Area's, or other such federal land where hunting is allowed along with airboating in Georgia? (Similar to Big Cypress down here).
