Airboat from the 60's

I found another picture of that old boat. This shot, I believe, was taken at the old Miami airboat club. The year is probably 64 or 63. It is a 10 footer with 135 Lycoming and stacks.

Did you notice the orange flag?

My father got tired of it and I later brought it up to Indian River City and ran it on the St Johns where 50 crosses.

Looks like the tamiami trail , before trees were cut ?
There use to be a row of Australian pines on the north side of the road from Krome ave to the 20 mile bend.

There is another picture of the boat in my gallery and I found a third one today. I will get it on here later. I also have an 8mm movie of it that I need to get converted to some sort of video so I can post that.

I think you are right about the location.

Not quite, but that is a good guess, I guess. That is my son at age 4, he is now 45.
