Airboat game

Two friends and I are putting together an Airboat game, it will be PC based.
It will be a few months until it is ready to use as we just started on 9/27.
What we really need is some video that is taken from the drivers seat with sound if possible so we can work on the animations. Anyone willing to let us use their rig for a model, please send pics also to the email provided. I will need, I have the small engine covered, an aircraft, and a car rig. We're looking forward to getting some video from Florida so we have scenery for that area. I would also like to use some of your photos for scenery, if I see any here I will contact you for your permission to use them. Thank you

We will be looking for people to test and I will pick people that donated materials to the game.

That would be fine Joel thanks, I might add to this that this "game" will be more of a simulator than a game, at least so far. We're still looking for ideas.
I can set up a FTP to upload direct to my server also if anyone knows how to use them.

Oh an this is another reason I ask so many questions about handling of rigs different from mine.

I'd use an ftp upload if you set it up. MUCH easier than emailing a large file. Laura & I have got some video too.... in ASF format. Some of the video files are 3o & 40 MB.

If you want them, I have quite a few logos for airboat clubs and places. I've been using them on various projects including my maps. And also just collecting them for hobby reasons I suppose. It's fun and an amusing minor challenge to get some of these images cleaned up and redrawn in decent resolution.

I don't know how you'd use them, Targets to hit or signs at the ramp or just stickers on the back of the boat. How you use them is up to you and your creativity. Now you know what you have to work with.

You should get permission to use any copyrighted or trade mark imagery before you publish, but its much easier to get their permission and not have to worry about getting the art sent to you.

The imagery represented below is the end result of many hours of work. Maybe you'd save this work, but you still need to get your own permission.

If there are any other airboat places who may be reading this, send me your logo (get emial address if you follow link below) I'll consider adding it to my map series, and share to when I can. Free Advertising directly to your customer base.

When it comes to trial testing out some airboat game or simulator, I'm interested. I'm on a mac though. But it's sitting on a desk right in front of a Windows PC. But I prefer mac software if it's easy to port over to that. From what I understand if you make a UNIX version, you're about done making a mac version since the mac OS is UNIX based.

Thanks a lot Matt, I'll store them and get permission as needed. I'll set up the ftp as sson as I have time, should be today. I can use stills also.

So far, here is the base for the game. You will start with a mini like mine and fish or hunt your way to bigger boats and hunts. You will sell your catch to move on with better equipment.
There will be a "free ride" where you go explore, catch and release, and airboat racing against the computer. You WILL have to play the game and advance to the bigger boats for a "freeride"

This is working out great, now I have an "excuse" for more time on the river, I'll be taking my laptop with webcam on the river to record right to the computer this way I can get more footage and different views on a trip. Keep up the ideas and plese post them here rather than email me so others can see what's going on.
Some of this stuff I will put up a poll to see how many people would use it.
