I talked to gto and I was told it was a costly job.also, what would it do as far as displacement and the way it rides.A few things is the rise in the front and the bevel in the back?

Shortening a boat isn't like shortening a cigar ...... there are lines that a hull has from the transom that define how it runs. They define it's signature in the water.

Between the bow and the transom, the transom is far and away more important. The bow is out of the water and used to carry coolers and lights most of the time. The transom defines the shape of the bottom and the way the boat will perform.

olf

The bow is shaped the same more or less no matter the length of the hull. The transom is shaped the same more or less no matter the length of the hull. The mid section is shaped the same more or less no matter the length of the hull.

So cutting out 3' from the mid section of an 18' hull while it may be expensive really wouldn't make it ride/handle any different than any other 15' hull by the same maker.

Now removing the polymer if it has any and replacing it, cutting the t-bars and re-welding and ALL the other stuff required probably would make it cheaper to just get a 15' hull and sell the 18' hull or get more power for the 18' hull.

Now if your just sitting around bored and have all the required tools to do it your self well that is different, git-r-dun but if your gonna pay someone well just git a new one and sell the old one. in my opinion anyways
