Hi All,
Emailing from Alaska the last frontier. Our local board is kinda slow . So I thought I would post here. All the guys up here must be frozen till Spring :D . I'm looking for someone that has some back issues of Airboat World they want to sell. Also I'm looking for a catalog that carries airboat parts like belts for the gear reduction units ,Heaters, Ect. Also since I'm here Do any of you folks use head gear to comunicate to others in your boat. I'm trying to set up a system in my boat for tours up here. And I'm having a hard time finding something that works. Thanks for all your help in advance.

i'm sure you, like myself , have a little time. Tons of sites available on this sites links but http://www.classicairboats.com has a great catalog you can download and dream. http://www.americanairboats.com is also nice to look at. Theres floridaairboatpropellers.com, whirlwinpropellers.com , warpdriveprops.com , Hoverhawk has links to powerfin propellers. airboatprops.com. I'm not sure how how I feel about Ivoprops yet but its another! Don't forget Preditor or Waterthunder. I have read about so many ! Just look through the threads and ask questions! There a pretty forgiving bunch to be associated with! Once again thanks to you all!

Thanks COLD-EH' ,

On the head phones look at Bondsman's add in the classified section. Just go to the top border and click Classifieds and on the right you will see what I have been dreaming about. He has a unit that handles upto 4 head phones and also includes 4 very good head phones. The Dave Clark type are the best I think. I just wish I had the money for them. Because they would be gone.

Man, I don't knowhow many of those David Clarke boxes we have thrown out over the years. I didn't have a plane anymore so it didn't bother me too much but we are getting new equipment in and it shows up with the same boxes and i'm thinking it would work really well in an air boat. We use the main boxes that are about 4" x 6" x 4" and aux boxes with seperate volume at about 2" x 2" x 1.5". Have never had a problem with the electronics even in exposed locations, they work flawlesley. Good news is the Lady I leant my DC headset to is returning it asap.

I would get one with a PTT push to talk button on the box and also a port for an external PTT which is a cable with a velcro switch to mount on your stick theres to much wind for the sound activated feature to work you can get the external PTT at a local airport or http://www.sportys.com for about $15 .also the little foam pieces that go over the mic. are very inexpensive and help with the wind as well
