I just wanted to say that I am glad to see that everyone is enjoying the pics I have posted I have more and will post em as I get time If anyone has any questions about the local pics or any I have for that matter, I will do my best to answer any questions anyone may have.

I can't get enough of those historical airboat photo's.

This site has the worlds best collection of historical airboating images that I know of, and it's just getting alot better with your uploads.

MIKE that is GRATE--- I saved them so when we have our Jan. MACA meeting I can run a slide show ---This will help me to show how grate the Southern Airboat web is.

Hey Mike,
I've noticed that alot of your recent pictures that you uploaded went into your personal member gallery. Alot of them are surely historical airboat gallery material.

Was not sure if you noticed.

They sure would look great in the vintage airboat poto gallery, if you don't mind them being in there.

I moved a lot of mikes recent photos to the vintage gallery just now. Hey Airboat Mike... I noticed that you run short on space making a title on your photos sometimes.... When you are uploading, there is one place for title, and another text box for description... The description one will not cut off your words and you can get as detailed as you want there.

keep it up! The vintage photo section is DEFINITELY one of a kind on the web! Congrats to SAO for hosting it! And same to all who helped get that collection there.

I was looking at the 1970 picture that says "notice the GrassHopper Airboat...". I'm assuming it's the second airboat in line.

Is that one of the Grasshopper airboats that were being built in Orlando back then?

Yes that was a grass hopper airboat built in orlando. That boat was bought new in 1970 by the guy who has that blue Classic airboat for sale in the classified section of southern airboat that I posted for him. I have more pics of the grass hopper I will post. Alot of people have no idea that airboats have been around Pennsylvania for so long. Again thanks for the reply's and if I can aswer any questions I will be more than happy to. I really am enjoying this site and can't get enough of it. I hope to get to do some airboating with some of you next time I'm back to Florida.
