Are the Airboat Races still on at Sarno Ext. on the 14th? Didn't see them on the calendar! :?:
 
Yeah Chuck it is still on. Are you going by boat or what? Haven't made up my mind how I going.

hmgm, Where is the best place to put in if going by boat ? The brevard clubhouse or somewhere north? We will be coming from mims down 95

If you take I-95 to ex-201 get off go west to the first st. on the left next Mcdonald that Tucker Ln. Go all the way to the end of the dirt road, It's starts out pavement then turns into dirt. That is lake Florence. Or go to-
Lake Washington Park
6000 Lake Washington Road, Melbourne
FROM I-95 take the SR-518/Eau Gallie Blvd Exit 183 east 0.4 miles. Turn left on John Rodes and go 0.8 miles. Turn left on Aurora Blvd and turn right on Harlock. Turn left on Lake Washington Road and go 1.5 miles to the end of the road.
FROM US Hwy 1 go west 5.6 miles to the end of Lake Washington Road.

That would be real close. I haven't made up my mind yet but my boat is still being broke in. I might just put in at melb.

We will probably put in at Florence & run the Servay Trail to Lake Washington if theres water in it & both boats are running.
 
Yeah, I like to run that way too, just want to make sure my boat is broke in enough to run that long. :shock:

We Plan on just crusing, not running hard as jr. hopfully has his new cylinder back & installed by then!
 
Yep the races are still on. I would say that the brevard club house may be full unless you get there early enough. I also know that Lake washington will probably be the same way, not sure. But anything is possible if you get there early enough.
I will be there bright and early at 7.
 
I am looking to meet up with some people at the races or to follow to the races if I put the boat in as well as to do some riding with while I am in Florida since I am not familiar with the area.

Geoff , Ihaven't decided yet . Where are y'all putting in and can we meet and follow y'all down? I don't know the trails that far south.

Dave - I'll have several of the maps of that area with me that day.

Don't let not knowing the trails keep you from taking on an adventure!

Last December Laura and I put our boat in at Lone Cabbage and found our way there with minimal "exploration". LOL

It's a RIVER. When in doubt, stop and observe the current. Keep going up stream. When in doubt, head over to the main channel of the river and keep your eye open for a trail entrance.

When you get there, check out the map I have and you'll then be a huge step closer to knowing that area like the back of your hand! :)

Dave, I think I am going to put in at lake Florence myself and at least two other boats are going.

Chuck Sr. how long do you think it will take us to get there?

Dave we would be glad to have you and anybody else. As we get closer to the 14th will make a time and meeting place. Good thing about where we are putting in at it is right off of I-95 exit-201

Matt, we met at the sound demo. I was at the econ pavillion when stan and country cooked up the frog legs and catfish. Your maps are great. I bought the one you brought to the seminole meeting from skeeter. I had it framed and gave it to my friend I grew up with at his 50th b'day party in west palm. He comes up and runs the river with us alot. He runs kissimmmee alot as well and will be at the reunion. I would like to get some more of your maps as well. Looking forward to seeing you and airboatrn again.
