Airboat Safety Course members needed

Good afternoon,

Looking for 8 people interested in taking an airboat safety course here in South Florida.
I AM NOT affiliated with any particular company nor am I the one providing the class. I want to take the course and I need a group of 8 to make it happen. We can dial in a date range (3 days needed) and make it happen. Price in the vicinity of 1k. If interested, message me please.

$1,000.00 ?? You might be hard pressed to find 7 others on SA, maybe post on Facebook or something of the sort. Does taking this course help with insurance or is it required for a captains license? Can't imagine what they can teach you taking 3 days? A lot of learning is from seat time. I do hope you find you fellow classmates. If you do it, please post here and give us all a rundown of what/how they taught you.

That link should answer some questions. I understand what you're saying. Ive been air boating for almost 15 years and I'm far from an expert. I will say that something like this can be a good introductory course for people seeking practice before just buying a 60k boat and letting it rip. Depends what you're after and if you can afford to spend that kind of money.

Thanks for the link, I see the course is mainly for captains operating with passengers for hire. That will help with the safety issue. I've been at it for close to 40 years, sunk 2 different boats, slid into a tree ( oak tree you're in my way), and still improving. Nowadays, it is more dangerous than years past, not as much common sense or courtesy on the water, hence the reason I try to avoid the weekends and holidays. Everyone needs to be on their toes, go right if you meet a boat and be mindful of their prop wash.
 
Who’s it with? If not USA marine training call Randy and schedule a three day with him. Or if it is load your boat up and come to Levy county and take it in his backyard or jump on up coming class . Most operators courses are for commercial, LE and search and rescue teams and employees.

I fall into 2 of those categories. I sold my last boat almost a year ago. Currently getting quotes for a new build.
I sent emails to all the course providers and only heard back from one so far. I have to follow up with phone calls but I've been busy putting out other fires. Thanks for the feedback.

You have other options if you are interested. $1000 is a little pricey for a class of 8 or more. You can get the class done for less and don't need 8ppl. Yes it's a little cheaper if you have at least 3 but it still isn't $1000 for 1 person. Contact me if you would like. You can either contact me here or you can reach me at 954- Six 24-five 195
