What are you guys running in your Lycomings?

I’ve been using aeroshell w100 and Camguard in my o540.

I was told to use aeroshell w100 plus and ditch the Camguard, because the plus already has stuff in it that does the same thing as Camguard.
But then I was just told to still use Camguard even with the w100 plus.

So I’m looking for some more opinions and recommendations. Thanks guys.

These threads have good coverage. The general consensus that I read is only run one additive at a time, both is too much of a good thing. The Lycoming additive is best for engines that sit for extended periods, Camguard is best for everyday protection. My use is sporadic, so Lycoming additive is my choice and Phillips Victory is the lowest cost to achieve.

Thanks again Gator. I went searching and did not see these for some reason.

So from what it looks like, the aeroshell w100 plus has the lycoming additive and that’s all I need.

Yep, Aeroshell plus and Phillips Victory both have the Lycoming additive. Victory and no other additive is what I run. Put a case through the Honda SxS and buggy to boot this year.
