Hey don't forget anyone wanting to get there gator tags today is the day. You can get them online, on the phone, at the tag office, or even at Wal-Mart.

I got into a little trouble last year with an improperly tagged gator . Kinda let the air out of my balloon! I didn't even try for it this year. First gator harvest I've missed in 10 yrs. on an off. Does anyone know if I could still go as an agent. I think that I can, but not real sure. Could ask the man I suppose. But I'm SKEERD to .

g ot mine they go quick 1st hunt hell  n  blaze croc1 how for does that permit go south starts at 192?

not sure it has a 1 by it which says Specific area boundry restrictions apply and will be described on issued permits. Detailed boundry descriptions can also be found on our web site at -http://MyFWC.com/alligator- . gonna check it out

Got my permit first week #502 lake poinsette
This will be my first hunt, any tips?

Croc1,

501 Lake Helen Blazes runs from 192 south to lake Helen. You are supposed to stay in the river and in the lake (in otherwords stay out of the marsh) dependent on whom you talk with. When the water comes up this become very difficult. Mainly the gators leave the chanel. If you have not hunted there in the past give me a call and I can give you a few pointers. Watch your P's and Q's two years ago the man had a hole doug out in the side of lake helen in the willows so he could watch you.

Whom ever asked about 502 this is a good area but there will be plenty of people there. You can PM me and I will can give you my number if you have any questions. Good luck to all and if anyone needs anything let me know.

thanks cfth I still have your number from you offering to help on the run. sound like I will have alot of questions for the man next time I get pulled over. I hate having rules that are hard to interperet with high water

Was strongly considering either 501or 502.....but, remembered this past spring's directed Wolf Pack attack on airboaters in the Upper St. Johns. Naaaaa.

I chose instead Lake Kissimmee and Polk County Public Waterways. Just my charter hunts would bring several thousands of dollars of commerce to an area. Have no desire to interact with FWC / DLE folks who have an axe to grind.

Not sure if you read the thread I put in "last act of defiance". I spoke with an FWC officer yesterday and he informed me that if you do not tag your gators properly they are going to seize all your stuff. The gator, license, equipment, truck, boat, and you. He stated that there will be no exeptions to this rule. He stated that they have been enformed through a meeting on the up coming gator season. These violators will be red flagged from future hunts. Ask your own FWC officer in your area for conformation. The FWC is "Tired of people playing games with the tags so they can kill more gators". Make sure that the tags are locked good and do not come apart. It will be the same as not being tagged at all. Also don't forget to turn your cities tags in if you don't use them. These are $100 apiece if you don't turn them in. A wildlife investigator will be Knocking at you door for these unused tags. I do know this to be true!!! DON"T KILL THE MESSANGER!!!!! GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!!!

FOR THOSE IN CENRTAL BREVARD YOU CAN GET/OR ORDER BANG STICKS AT THE GUN SITE GUN RANGE IN MERRITT ISLAND JUST TALK TO STEVE.

I've been to 3 dive shops and 2 said they didn't have them and the third one said "There against the law to have or sell" OK . I guess I'll take a ride to GTO in Ocala. Can anyone tell me what is the going price for the harpoon barbs. GTO is selling the for $38.00 each. Looks as if I could make them for about $10.00
