Alternator clearance

Has anybody had a clearance problem between their alternator pulley and a Stump Puller series prop on a 220 gpu engine application?
I'm trying to install a new Stump Puller series prop on my boat. My alternator mounts below the prop adaptor like most others I've seen. Because of the belt groove on the prop adaptor,the alternator must remain where it is. By time I get enough blade pitch to load the engine to my satisfaction, I WILL be in danger of rubbing the alt. pulley.

So I called Jim at Whirlwind and he told me I could swap at no charge for Super Snapper blades which have a different profile and will eliminate the problem.THANKS WHIRLWIND!.

So back to the original question. what is everybody doing for this application?? Thanks...Jim J

Jim, I should have sold you the supper snapper blades to begin with but I know how much I loved the Stump Puller Blades on my 220. It was close to my alternator but I had just enough room. I am not sure why yours didn't fit. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Would there be any problem using a prop spacer of some type to get a little more clearance :? ?

Thanks for the replies Cold and Faron.

Faron;
Everything should be ok when my SS blades get here, no sweat on this end.
No one suggested spacing out the prop. I did think of it on my own but, given the fact that the locating "lugs" are just barely an inch long I was not willing to take a gamble on my own with a spacer.
Perhaps Whirlwind could put a footnote on their website that the SP blades may or may not work on some GPU applications :)

P.S. Faron, no word from UPS yet on that other issue.
