alternator for cont 520

Thank ya all for the info on the starter conversion but i also need some help with a replacement alternator on my 520, it did not come with one on it but the pivot bracket which is part of the left rear eng mount leg and the adjusting bracket is there, this is a rear mounted setup. Is there a 12v automotive alternator i can use if so what type would it be. any thoughts would be helpfull. Thanks

Does your motor mount look like this one?

If so I found the perfect alternator for my setup was from a Clark forklift, It's a 50a one wire setup that is very light and mounted up perectly with just a 15mm wide shim. I got mine on ebay from this guy and am happy with how it turned out.
