Aluminum Hull Choices

Can't decide between a Hamant hull or an Alumitech hull, I don't know much about the Hamant hulls, and I know Alumitech hulls can hit boulders just below the surface at 45 mph and only have polymer damage(I nearly wet my shorts). The type of hull, needs to suit a 350 and 4 people 2 rear driver and 2 front, I think 14' sounds about right. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Mac

There is no choice to make as far as I am concerned ..ALUMITECH.

Now with that being said HAMANT is also very good according to many people I have talked too.

What are the differnces between the 2 hulls, is one lighter or have more stringers or what? I know I can get an alumitech hull with polymer and side rails for around 4500. Is their much of a price difference? What are you runnin on your boat?

I run an ALUMITECH and it is what they call the A MODEL it is a slider hull in that it has no turn chines on it. I am not that familiar with HAMANT hulls. Mine has 5 regular stringers and two additional boxed stringers that my engine stand bolts to, for a total of 7 stringers. I have two sets of jacks in it. I have never adjusted them at all yet. I can spin my hull around on the ground easily by myself. I have the polymer on the sides as well as the bottom. I have a dent in mine where I hit a stump and was airborne for probably 50 feet afterwards but I can't fault the hull it didn't even make the polymer screws loosen up. I run a 383 stroker on it now and I am changing to thunders LS1 stroker soon. My hull is the neatest thing since peanut butter & jelly sandwiches were invented. I am convincfed I would never run anything else. I may get them to make a few changes on my next hull if I ever need one but they are changes I want and in no way reflect any short comings on the part of the hull.

If you have a lot of stick time on a boat then you might like the slider, if not then stay with their current model it is more forgiving. Talk to them about your hull and how you drive and where you drive and follow what they suggest and you can't go wrong they have forgot more than many manufacturers will ever learn. But that is just my opinion and I obviously could be slanted a little. I lean towards performance but not at the sacrifice of safety. They offer both and if your honest with your description of abilities and power package they will give you sound advice
you can take to the bank. But don't over state either one and expect them to be right.

I run a hamant hull and love it but ALUMITECH makes great hulls too so what i would look for is the price and thickness of metal..(JUST MY OPINION)

Triple W airboats in Okeechobee builds a Hamant type hull but it has more run bottom the turn chines are different. I've seen some of his boats. He has built some for the state. He did say that the bottoms are thicker. Wayne is a realy nice guy. HE will take time from what he is doing and give the time of day to help you. He has been good on his word with me. I ordered some rudders from him he said two weeks thay was done before then. Give them a call 863-467-6265

I love my Alumitech :D but I imagine Diamondback, Hamant, etc. would make me just as happy.

I run here in the north on both ice and water and run an alumitec and like it also people at alumitec were a great help COPPERHEAD
